Once
again, another beautiful fall and Christmas season have come and gone.
As we stand on the brink of this new year, we reflect on the past year
of blessings and are reminded how blessed we really are both as individuals
and as a nation. In spite of all the critics, I believe we still live
in the greatest nation. I look forward to the coming year and pray that
we will once again become a nation that stands for the freedoms fought
for by our forefathers.
I was very honored in August this year to have one of my paintings "Spring
Flirt" be chosen by Century-Tel to be on the cover of our local phone
directory. Also the Fayette Art Musuem honored me (along with two fellow
artists) by having one of my paintings printed on their annual "Arts
Festival" T-Shirts. We enjoyed a successful Christmas Art Show and
closed out 2007 having to update
my web page to reflect new work completed this past year and take down
many of the paintings sold.
A very special thanks to all of you who have stopped by, either in person
or via our web page, and for your many kind comments and purchases. We
look forward to hearing from many more of you in the coming months.
My featured painting this month is actually one that is just nearing completion,
depicting a rugged cowboy, reflecting on past scenes of his life. The
western lifestyle holds a fascination for me and I love to try to recapture
the personalitlities of the rugged lifestyle reflected in the faces of
these old cowboys.
Until next time, I pray that you all will have a blessed and happy 2008,
Paul
